The Gulf and its routes

Just 10 minutes by car: Orosei Marina, Su Barone and Osalla, characterised by their very long beaches, crystal clear waters and beauty.
Just 20 minutes by car: the charming beaches of the Gulf of Orosei: from the white beach of Berchida, famous for its dunes, stretching past Capo Comino and its lighthouse, right up to Cala Liberotto and naturalistic Oasis of Bidderosa (booking required).
Going to Dorgali: by car or by boat departing from both Orosei Marina and Cala Gonone, you can visit the coves of Cala Luna, Cala Sisine, Cala Goloritzè and Cala Mariolu.
Going to Ogliastra you will instead find the famous Venus Pools, reachable only by boat.

 

Archaeological and natural places to see

Among the most significant monuments outside the village, we include:
-Sa conca ‘e mortu, Domus de Janas (House of the Fairies) from the Neolithic period: two communicating vessels inside a granite boulder whose facade, with the sun at Zenith, depicts a human skull;
-Sa Tumba ‘e su Zigante di Othieri, which preserves traces of the Mediterranean ritual of incubation;
-S’Untana ‘e su Zigante, (sacred well of Su Notante) sacred spring made from isodomic basaltic blocks, an architectural jewel of the ritual of the waters;
-Nuraghi, huts (Litu ‘Ertiches, Janna’ and Pruna) and strategic fortifications with huge walls (Gujai, Su Monte ‘e s’Eliche);
-Santu Lussurju, Sant’Elene, Sant’Andria ruins of medieval churches overlying the ruins of their villages.
Nonchè the famous sites of Tiscali and Gorroppu.
